What is 「Out」

Burnout continues to be a lethargic state that has lost its mental and physical energy, also known as “exhaustion” in Japanese. It’s not an official diagnosis of mental illness, it’s becoming one of the stress responses that results from stress.

Originally, there were many people in the service industry related to “people” rather than “things” such as medical care or education, but these days, where many people are under excessive stress, people in various occupations are exposed to the risk of earning out, not limited to the service industry.

The symptoms, burnout?

The main symptom of burnout is ’emotional feeling of consumption」.

“Emotional emotion” refers to a state in which the mind has lost energy due to stress from the gap between human relationships and busyness, ideals and reality.

These symptoms, emotional behaviors, such as interpersonal relationships, are linked to other symptoms of the burnout, “depersonalization,” leading to mechanical bureaucracy, and “not being able to feel a sense of reward and a sense of personal accomplishment.”

How is it different from depression?

Burnout can be a type of depression because the depression and lethargy shown in burnout are accompanied by symptoms of depression. But while disconnection has been studied primarily in the realm of psychology, depression has been studied primarily in medicine, and there seems to be a great deal of discussion about equating burnout with depression.

While depression is caused by all the stress in life, burnout is characterized by the ease of stress at work.

Characteristics of a person who is easy to burn out

Burnout is an “attack on people with a burning sense of duty,” but those who are engaged in their work or the people around them are considered to be at a higher risk. In particular, when a person with a strong consciousness that he or she should be “perfect” about his or her job or responsibility is faced with a reality that doesn’t go his or her way, he or she gets stressed out and increases the risk of a burnout.

In order to prevent burnout, ‘think separately from job and duty’ will be important. However, it is not easy to balance the state of the black box called ‘mind’ in everyday life under various stress.
